How to join two nodes? - Affinity on Desktop Questions (macOS and Windows) - Affinity | Forum

There are pointers in the HELP doc. Aptly named! You have to select the whole path with the Move Tool before selecting points with the Node Tool and Ctrl-clicking with the Pen Tool to continue paths.

I would seriously suggest looking at Inkscape , which despite being OpenSource free , seems more full featured. Alas, it too has an unconventional interface I constructed the final shape in Image 1 by cutting overlapping curves - unfortunately the shape was a bit too complex to use their pathfinder tools - and joining them with the node tool. However there's no way I can see to merge those nodes once everything has been combined to form a single closed volume.

I read through the node tool's help section and have been googling the question but this was the closest topic I found. But I can post it separately and give it a shot! Your problem confuses ME! So I can only imagine the response at Affinity! Plus, it might get lost in the shuffle and other Illustrator folk might better understand your issue. You can post now and register later. Paste as plain text instead. Yes, i understand most of those operations. Im not creating anything fancy, just triangle with some flaps on its side. Also, which YouTube video s do you mena? Yes i saw the status bar in the videos, and started watching it. But every line i drew with the pen created a separate curve instead of one unit. So how to i merge then into one? Probably easier to just start over, but i have done that a couple times already.

Ok thank you. Oh, in the videos you can see all the nodes as you are using the pen tool, mine do not show like that, its just lines. I have it set to show, thats the only way i can see it The stroke. It sounds like you are in Line Mode. If you do not know what that is, please read the help topic!

This has nothing to do with this, but just found out my car doesnt have a dipstick for the transmission fluid, and to check it you have to get under the car, or have really long flexible arms, lol.

I merged the curves and now all the nodes show up like in the videos. I also edited your question a little so it wasn't as "bulky" to read. It does look neat! By Serif Add a comment.
